Delivering the power of lithium
Our latest lithium batteries comply with the new air freight legislation, come in a wide range of sizes and are supplied in child resistant packaging for peace of mind. New regulations introduced by the IATA (International Air Transport Association) in April 2016 mean lithium containing products cannot be transported by air freight without appropriate labelling and protection.
Lithium has now been moved to the dangerous goods group 9 - meaning the inner and outer packaging needs additional warnings. The new Rayovac® Lithium Electronics packaging complies with the air freight legislation, which means it is now easier to ship world-wide.
Child proof packaging
Rayovac is a leader in battery packaging innovation, and our new battery packaging makes child-safety a top priority.
That’s why we have created new robust packaging for our batteries. This innovative packaging can deter children from accessing the batteries. Other changes include a warning icon and more prominent warning copy on the front and back side of the battery package to inform consumers of the hazards associated with coin cell batteries.
