{"id":6525,"date":"2017-08-08T09:15:10","date_gmt":"2017-08-08T08:15:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rayovac.eu\/rayovac-makes-battery-donation-to-universitys-india-project\/"},"modified":"2017-08-08T09:15:10","modified_gmt":"2017-08-08T08:15:10","slug":"rayovac-makes-battery-donation-to-universitys-india-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/fr\/rayovac-makes-battery-donation-to-universitys-india-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Rayovac makes battery donation to university&rsquo;s India project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 13px;\"><strong>Rayovac, the world\u2019s number one hearing aid battery manufacturer, has donated 6000 of <a href=\"http:\/\/rayovac.eu\/fr\/products\/\">its hearing aid batteries<\/a> to a University\u2019s charity project in India.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 13px;\">Rayovac, a division <a href=\"\/Company\/Spectrum-Brands\">of Spectrum Brands Inc<\/a>, donated the batteries to De Montfort University\u2019s (DMU) Global\/Square Mile Free Hearing Screening Trip to India, a charity initiative designed to create better access to hearing care for some on the country\u2019s poorest people.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"481\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-982\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-2.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-2-300x180.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-2-768x462.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 13px;\">The initiative saw DMU students and staff visit India to lend support at hospitals and charities across the country. <\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 13px;\">More than 300 children and adults were screened for hearing conditions in the four day visit, with more than 100 people eventually fitted for hearing aids and given Rayovac batteries to power them. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1016\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-983\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-3.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-3-236x300.jpeg 236w, https:\/\/rayovac.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dmu-3-768x975.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 13px;\">Wendy Stevens, Senior Lecturer at DMU, said: \u201cOur trip was very successful. The students learned a lot through the visit and at the same time we made a real difference to the lives of many of the people we encountered. None of this would have been possible without the very generous donation of batteries from Rayovac.
